IGNOU students to do on weekends? 5 answers for you.

IGNOU students to do on weekends? 5 answers for you.

Indira Gandhi National Open University - Wikipedia
1.  For an IGNOU student, regular days & weekends both are same for all of students.
So, It depends on the person whether he treats his regular days as weekends or weekends as regular days.. Both hardly makes any difference because entire study material is with you , You have to decide when to study & how to study  and how to complete my assignments!!
It is preferrable if you carry out your studies as per on schedule , that will help you in finishing the whole bunch of material & will leave the weekends as it is for rest of the students !!

2. Weekends are meant to have a break from the regular weekdays. Have a break guys and relax and stay with friends and family. But if you are an IGNOU student, it’s one in the same thing for you. Weekdays or weekends, doesn’t really matter. You need to prioritise things as per your lifestyle, keeping in mind what you want to be in future.and what you want to be your family. and complete your dreams.
Here are other things you can do on a weekend!
  • Learn a new skill. Or Develop a new hobby. Get multitalented.
  • learn selfdefence and kickboxing.
  • Learn a new language. Or a course. Which will help you in your future.
  • Go on a blind date, if you are single.
  • Try new things and explore yourself.

3. There are so many other things, you can do. But I would say start from any of the above and please take it easy on yourself. Life will get sort out. But don’t put yourself under any pressure. That’s the last thing you want to do on a weekend.
Like I said earlier, weekends are meant to relax and give yourself a break. And then, when you have some spare time, do any of the above and be consistent with it.
Hope it helps!

4. It depends on whether you are a working professional who is pursuing IGNOU courses or a full-time IGNOU student. Mostly IGNOU courses are taken by working professionals, but I personally know other many who opt it full time.
Weekends are blessings for office-goers as they can cover many of the topics within a day or two. But yes, it requires sheer dedication and hard work.
Even then, it is easy to get distracted to other things on weekends.
Those much-awaited movies, weekly catch-up with your besties, family time - you got a bunch of things to do !
That’s why, I would suggest, you must have a weekend time chart if you are an IGNOU student.
Set a time for yourself to learn new topics and complete assignments. Together, set aside exclusive time to enjoy other things in your life as well.
If you are someone like me who loves to sleep even after the alarm breaks, then you can take extra time off to nap in the weekend. But make sure you don’t take too much out of it.
When I commute to my office every day, I make use of that time by researching my assignment topics. It really helped me to get my assignments done in a shorter time period.
For others, if it is work-life balance, for IGNOU students like us it is a work-life-study balance.
Keep your balance & enjoy what it takes !
Good luck !

It mainly aims to provide opportunities to people who are employed and seek to grow in their career. It provides opportunity to empower women. IGNOU offers premium education with minimum cost. But the distance learning has to be self learning process. The students must be self motivated to study. Though for some of the courses workshops and lectures are conducted, still students have to build the skill set on their own.
IGNOU is one of the most prestigious government accredited distance learning center. The courses are formulated by the best faculty. So unlike many other distance learning institutes, its not easy to pass IGNOU courses with superficial efforts.
The credits are given by wholistic evaluation of subject wise Assignments and Term End exams. Their weightage is in 30:70 proportion. Thus there is no route to escape regular studies. Moreover the assignements have to be hand written which increases the time one needs to devote. They study material provides in-depth learning to the students still sufficient research is required to present the assignments.
